This black, 67 Cutlass was spotted at Englishtown Raceway in New Jersey on June 15th. Unfortunately, I couldn't locate the owner to talk to him about the modifications made to the car. Obviously, they are quite extensive. From what I could see, it was an Olds 455 block, E heads with twin turbochargers (non-intercooled) dumping into what appeared to be a stock Olds manifold modified for multi-port fuel injection. The injection setup consisted of two injectors per cylinder, fed from 4 fuel rails. The EFI system was closed-loop, as there were two oxygen sensors plumbed into the system, one on each side, downstream of the turbos. I could see the control box under the dash, but I couldn't make out what manufacturer's it was. This was simply the wildest thing I've ever seen done to an Olds motor.
The car had Delaware plates on it. Does anyone out there know who's it is or anything more about it ?
Obviously, the owner had a lot of engineering time into this project and it appeared to be very nicely executed.
